Our Baby Barn Boutique is almost done!! Thanks to Cohn Family Foundation and Mike & Belinda Carpenter for their contributions to this project. Thank you Craine’s Electric and Brinker Heating & Cooling Thank you to HBHS (students pictured above) students for constructing shelving and rustic counter top for the check out area!

The BBB will be a boutique style like Beautiful Lives where our moms can go and shop for items for themselves and babies. We are also opening this up to other local nonprofits to shop as well. We will begin stocking the shelves and finalizing this project later in March.

Mission Statement

Compassion House is committed to providing ongoing Aftercare services to all disenrolled residents. This will further our aim of breaking cycles of poverty and ensuring all of those served always have a safe place to return in times of need. There is no requirement, other than having been a Compassion House resident, to procure these services.

Aftercare Services

Guided access to resources. Moral and emotional support. Physical needs, such as diapers, wipes, food, household goods, etc. In-house respite care. Ongoing education

Coordinator – Charlotte Green

Charlotte Green has been a devoted volunteer at Compassion House for over four years. She will mobilize volunteers to provide services, as needed. For example, if an alumni is in need of transportation, she will coordinate services. She will further coordinate availability for in-house services (Bible study, financial literacy, parenting skills, etc.) for alumni to attend.

Volunteers

Charlotte will maintain a relationship with the Compassion House volunteer base to assess the talents of each. She will outline the services each may provide, such as transportation, in-home respite care, as-needed child care replacement, financial guidance, and educational possibilities. Compassion House will continue to vet volunteers and conduct background checks, with the vetted volunteers communicated with Charlotte.

Programming

Charlotte will coordinate with the Client Care Team Director on in-house programming. She will assess the talents of volunteers to enrich the services Compassion House offers.

Thank you to Chef Erin Rowe who came out to Compassion House in February to teach the residents new cooking skills and instructions. You can follow her on Facebook @cheferinrowe
